On every horse

Our Philosophy

The eye to find them. The patience to produce them.

The Eye

Nearly twenty years of competing teaches you to spot a good horse anywhere — at any auction, or in our own paddocks. Kelly buys on quality, not on fashion.

The Work

We don't flip horses. Young horses are produced correctly and patiently, so what you try at home is what you'll ride at a show.

The Transparency

Every horse is offered with an honest reason for sale and a vet report available on request. No surprises.

Buying a Horse

How it works

Buying a horse should be relaxed and thorough. Come and try at our facilities with your own trainer — and if you're travelling, stay with us while you do.

01

Enquire

Tell us which horse has caught your eye and what you're looking for. We'll share video, the full vet report and an honest assessment.

02

Come and try

Try the horses at our facilities — bring your trainer and take your time. You ride what you'll buy, on the ground we produce them.

03

Stay with us

Travelling to us? We have accommodation at the yard, so you can stay over and try your shortlist properly without rushing.

04

Vet & finalise

Every horse is pre-vetted by Baker McVeigh, with a proper report outlining any risk or routine maintenance the horse requires. You are also welcome to have the horse vetted at your own expense. We guide you through the paperwork to take your new horse home with confidence.

Every O'Connor horse is independently vetted by Baker McVeigh, a world-renowned equine veterinary practice.

Have a horse to sell?

We treat every horse that comes to us as if it were our own — produced patiently, vetted honestly, and only ever sent to a home we'd be happy to see it go to. If that sounds like the kind of hands you'd want for your horse, we'd love to hear about it.
